Reshuffle of Executive Committee after recent AGM. Cup Draw deferred.
Rugby in the region has certainly had its ups and downs in the last 10 years but it has been my privilege to serve as Chairman during that period.
At Plymouth Combination AGM earlier this week there was a changing of the guard within the Executive Committee. Mike Freeman was elected as Chairman and Mike Dymond as Vice Chairman with Richard Belli, standing down after 10 years as Chairman, becoming Immediate Past Chairman. Freeman is currently Devon Rep and brings a wealth of experience as a player and coach within a number of Combination sides, whilst Dymond has already demonstrated his organisational skills with the Representative sides, Cup Finals and administrating the annual Medics Challenge Charity Match.
The AGM, chaired by The President, Peter Rendle, saw OPMs awarded the Old Suttonians Trophy by Plymouth Rugby Referees Society and Peninsula Medical School presented with both the Combination Merit Table and Armada League trophies.
The Combination Cup draws were deferred as the competitions are undergoing review over the summer, but Ieuan Tucker, was voted in as Cup Steward for the new season.
